These are felony and misdemeanor record searches. EPC researches detailed conviction case information locally at the respective county courts. This is performed for all counties and states of residence for the previous 10 years, or whatever maximum is allowable by state laws limiting searches to less than 10 years. Case number, arrest file/offense date, court date, type of offense, and any resulting sentencing information are provided. Some screening firms opt to use databases for criminal checks. This is highly unreliable information. EPC only uses primary data sources in conducting our pre-employment screenings |
